We look at the whole picture — not just one symptom.
Prostate Health and Prostate Cancer Risk
Some men have a higher risk of prostate cancer, including:
- Men from Black African, Black Caribbean, or Black British backgrounds
- Men with a family history of prostate cancer
- Men aged 55 and over (or younger if higher risk)
Prostate cancer may not cause symptoms early, which is why discussion and monitoring are important.
We support you with:
- Clear conversations about prostate cancer risk
- Discussion of PSA blood testing (benefits and limitations)
- Assessment of urinary symptoms
- Monitoring and referral when needed
Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
Erectile dysfunction is very common and can be linked to physical health, emotional wellbeing, or both.
ED may be associated with:
- Heart and blood vessel disease
- High blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol
- Prostate conditions
- Stress, poor sleep, or low mood
- Smoking, alcohol, or certain medications
ED can sometimes be an early warning sign of cardiovascular disease.
How we help:
- Private, respectful discussion
- Assessment of physical and emotional causes
- Review of medications and long-term conditions
- Lifestyle advice and treatment options
- Follow-up and ongoing support
Heart Health and Cardiovascular Risk
Many men in our community have a higher risk of heart disease and stroke, often linked to lifestyle, long-term conditions, and social factors.
We support men with:
- Blood pressure checks
- Cholesterol assessment
- Diabetes screening and monitoring
- Weight and lifestyle review
- Smoking and alcohol support
- NHS Health Checks where appropriate
Early identification of cardiovascular risk can prevent serious illness later.
Wellbeing, Stress, and Mental Health (Without Labels)
Stress, poor sleep, and ongoing pressure can affect:
- Heart health
- Sexual function
- Energy and motivation
- Ability to manage long-term conditions
Many men experience:
- Poor sleep or constant tiredness
- Feeling under pressure or overwhelmed
- Low motivation or irritability
- Physical symptoms without a clear cause
You don’t need to describe this as a mental health problem to talk to us.
