We have a safe system for managing test results. All results are looked at and patients are informed in a timely way by call or sms. All results are viewed on the first working day after receipt.
The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
Urgent results
You will be contacted by a clinician on the first working day after receipt of the result.
Non-urgent results
You will be contacted by a clinician within 4-6 weeks. This could be either by phone or by sms.
Viewing your test results
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) or any other patient services app.
Questions about your test results
If you are worried or have questions about your results, you can fill out a test results request form and someone will be in touch.
If you are unable to complete the online form or use the NHS or patient services app, you can call the surgery on 0161 226 7615 and one of our Patient Service Advisors will help you complete the online form. NB: Our Patient Service Advisors are unable to directly provide or interpret results
